About Nico
Reverend. Ranger. Runner.
A normal person who has done hard things and is still doing them.
Nico Jay Moyer is a U.S. Army Ranger veteran — 75th Ranger Regiment, three combat deployments, medically retired with a TBI and physical pain that does not quit. He is an ordained reverend, ultra runner, certified professional coach, seminary student, and adjunct professor based in Columbus, Georgia.
He leads Second Story, an uptown ministry center for college students and young adults. He finished the Bootlegger 100-Mile Run in 33 hours. He holds four degrees and is finishing his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at Mercer University with a 3.9 GPA — achievements that came after being told repeatedly he couldn’t do them.
That pattern — being told no and doing it anyway — is the thread running through everything he builds.
Three Pillars. One Mission.
✝️ Reverend
Faith, spiritual formation, and purpose. Nico is an ordained reverend finishing his Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at Mercer University. He believes the interior life is the foundation for everything else.
🎖️ Ranger
Discipline, leadership, and sacrifice. Three combat deployments with the 75th Ranger Regiment. Medically retired. Still in the fight — just a different arena. The Ranger ethos shapes how Nico approaches every commitment he makes.
🏃 Runner
Mental grit, ultramarathon training, and physical resilience. Bootlegger 100-Mile finisher. 33 hours. Running is where Nico proves to himself — over and over — that the body and mind can go further than anyone thinks.
Why The Arena Exists
I have had tough times and survived because at different times someone helped me. I want to be that for others. Come be in community, use free content, upgrade to learn, upgrade to coaching for the season you need it — then drop back down. All are welcome.
This is not a funnel. It is a door that is always open.
