We’re all being formed—by what we do, avoid, love, repeat, and believe. The question isn’t if we’re being formed, but into what?
When I started Formed for More, I didn’t want to offer another checklist or life hack. I wanted to build something that could help people grow in a grounded, honest way. Over time, I began to see a pattern. Real, sustainable growth doesn’t happen in just one area of life. It happens when we start integrating them all.
That’s where these 8 dimensions came from.
They aren’t a formula—they’re a framework. A way to explore the different parts of your life and ask:
“What is forming me here? And who am I becoming?”
Here’s a quick look at each one:
Spiritual Formation
The heart of it all. Deepening your connection with God through Scripture, prayer, and presence.
Rooted before rushing.
Physical Formation
Honoring the body as a temple—through rest, nutrition, training, and stewardship.
Health isn’t vanity—it’s worship.
Mental Formation
Shaping your thoughts and focus. What we consume, we contemplate.
We become what we dwell on.
Emotional Formation
Naming emotions, building resilience, and healing what needs to be healed.
Jesus wept—and we can too.
Relational Formation
Learning to love, forgive, and show up well in the lives of others.
We grow through community, not just content.
Vocational Formation
Seeing your work as calling, not just survival. Whatever your job is, it matters.
Formed to serve with purpose.
Movement Formation
Training your body in ways that strengthen your soul. Walking, running, rucking, slowing down.
Discipline moves us forward—literally.
Lifelong Formation
Staying teachable. Staying humble. Staying in motion.
Formation doesn’t end—it deepens.
You don’t have to master all eight. That’s not the point. But you can start paying attention to where God might be inviting you to grow.
This is the journey: becoming more grounded, more present, more fully alive.
We are all being formed. Let’s be formed for more.
